Meet Your Anxiety Therapist
A supportive place to slow down, untangle anxious thoughts, and start feeling like yourself again
Hi, I’m Dr. Rosie Garcia, a licensed psychologist and the founder of Simply Living Counseling. I specialize in anxiety therapy for women who struggle with overthinking and the pressure to keep everything together while feeling overwhelmed on the inside.
Anxiety is something I understand not only through my professional training, but through my own personal experience as well. That perspective helps me meet my clients with compassion and practical tools that actually work.
Working with me is collaborative, supportive, and conversational. We’ll talk openly about what’s coming up for you, explore new perspectives, sometimes use a little humor along the way, and I’ll challenge you when it’s helpful while cheering you on as you build the tools and confidence to manage anxiety in a healthier way.
In anxiety therapy, we slow things down, understand what is driving your anxious thoughts, and build strategies that help you manage anxiety in healthier, more sustainable ways so you can feel calmer, clearer, and more confident in your daily life.
I offer online anxiety therapy for women in Florida, New York, and PSYPACT states, so you can get support from the comfort of your own home.

Common Questions About Anxiety Therapy
Because let's be honest… starting therapy can bring up questions.
Anxiety therapy helps you understand what’s driving your anxious thoughts and learn practical ways to respond to them differently. Instead of trying to fight or suppress anxiety, therapy teaches you how to manage it in healthier and more sustainable ways. Over time, many people notice they feel calmer, think more clearly, and feel more confident navigating daily stress.
You might benefit from anxiety therapy if you notice that worry, overthinking, or constant stress is starting to affect your daily life, relationships, sleep, or ability to relax. Many people with anxiety still manage work, responsibilities, and relationships on the outside, but internally feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or stuck in their thoughts.
You don’t have to wait until things feel unbearable to start therapy. In fact, many people find it helpful to begin therapy earlier, before anxiety grows into something that feels harder to manage.
Therapy can also be a form of self-care. Reaching out for support isn’t something to feel ashamed of. It’s simply a way of taking care of your mental and emotional well-being.
The first session is usually a conversation where we get to know each other. We will talk about what is been going on in your life, how anxiety is showing up for you, and what you would like to feel different. From there, we begin identifying patterns and creating a plan to help you move toward your goals.
There is not just one way to treat anxiety, but there are approaches that are especially helpful for people who struggle with overthinking, worry, and feeling constantly on edge.
In my work, I often use tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Don’t worry about the names too much. What matters is how they help.
CBT focuses on understanding the thought patterns that fuel anxiety. Many people with anxiety get stuck in cycles of overthinking or imagining worst-case scenarios. In therapy, we learn how to notice those patterns and respond to them in healthier ways.
ACT helps you change how you relate to anxious thoughts and feelings. Instead of trying to force anxiety to disappear, we work on helping you handle those thoughts with more flexibility so they don’t control your decisions or your day.
In our sessions, we use practical tools from these approaches to help you manage anxiety, feel less stuck in your thoughts, and start responding to life with more confidence and clarity.
Yes. Overthinking is one of the most common patterns people experience with anxiety. In therapy, we explore the thoughts and beliefs that keep the overthinking cycle going and practice strategies that help you step out of that mental loop. Over time, this can help you feel more present, focused, and less mentally exhausted.
Many people with anxiety appear successful and capable on the outside while feeling overwhelmed internally. Therapy can help you explore the pressure to “keep everything together” and the patterns that may be contributing to chronic stress or worry. You don’t have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy.
Yes, online therapy can be just as helpful as meeting in person for many people struggling with anxiety. Therapy works through conversation, understanding your patterns, and learning practical tools to manage anxious thoughts, and all of that can happen just as effectively in a virtual session.
In our online sessions, we talk through what’s going on in your life, explore the thoughts and patterns that may be fueling your anxiety, and practice strategies that help you feel calmer and more in control.
Many clients also appreciate the convenience of online therapy because they can attend sessions from the comfort of their home without the stress of commuting or sitting in a waiting room.
Yes. I am in-network with Aetna for online anxiety therapy. If you have Aetna, your sessions may be partially or fully covered depending on your specific plan.
I also offer private pay options for clients who prefer not to use insurance. Many people choose private pay because it offers greater privacy, flexibility in treatment, and allows therapy to focus fully on your needs rather than insurance requirements.
If you have a different insurance plan, you may also be able to use out-of-network benefits, which means your insurance company may reimburse you for part of the session fee. I can provide a receipt (sometimes called a superbill) that you can submit to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement.
If you’re unsure what your benefits are, we can talk about it during your free consultation and figure out what option works best for you.
The first step is scheduling a free 15-minute phone consultation. This is a brief, no-pressure conversation where we talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, answer any questions you may have, and see if we’re a good fit to work together.
If you decide to move forward, we schedule your first appointment, which is the intake session where we explore your background, your experience with anxiety, and your goals for therapy.
