SERVICES

I offer virtual therapy for millennial women who are ready to overcome anxiety, perfectionism, stress, and burnout while building self-acceptance. My approach helps high-achievers overcome anxiety, overthinking, and the pressure to always be productive, allowing them to create a more balanced and fulfilling life.

I currently accept clients in Florida, New York, and PSYPACT states. While I primarily work with millennial women, I welcome any adult who feels I’m the right fit, regardless of age or gender.

To make getting started easier, I offer a free 15-minute phone or video consultation to discuss your needs and determine if we’re a good fit. Reach out here.

As of February 2025, the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT) includes 42 participating states: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

Absolutely! I have experience working with variety of  diverse adults from Generation X, Y and Z. In addition to working with millennial women, I help couples and men. If my website speaks to you, Reach out here.

Most problems can be resolved through online therapy, but sometimes more intensive treatment is needed. My free 15-minute consultation and initial assessment are designed to help me determine if I can meet your needs. If at any time while working with you, I believe that you would be better served in a traditional therapy setting, I will provide you with community resources, and counseling with Simply Living Counseling will be discontinued at that time. Contact me to see if it is a good fit.

No, I do not provide crisis or emergency services. If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, please call 911 immediately. If you or someone you know is having an emotional crisis or feeling suicidal, please call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK or text HOME to 741741. Both services offer free, 24/7 crisis support in the United States.

We’ll chat on an online platform called Zoom, a HIPAA compliant video online platform that’s easy and free to use. All you have to do is visit the link below on the day of your appointment and check-in.

If we run into an audio or video problem during our session, or if we get disconnected, we’ll try to troubleshoot briefly before giving you a call instead. Our preference is always for a video session, but ultimately we want you to get the most out of your session time.

GENERAL INFO ON THERAPY

Everyone goes through hard times. Pain is subjective, so it’s not about what you’re dealing with, but rather, the impact it’s having on you. Even if you’ve successfully navigated through other difficulties, it’s okay to seek professional help when you need it. You are not weak for needing extra support; in fact, it takes a great deal of strength and courage to ask for help. If you’re the one who usually provides support for others, just a friendly reminder: you deserve support too. Find out about my services to help you LIVE a better life.

It’s important to have multiple sources of support. Friends and family can listen, encourage, and support you in other ways, but they may not know the best way to help you through a difficult time. Licensed psychologists go through extensive training to help individuals get “unstuck” and improve their lives.

Professional therapists can teach you new skills, help you recognize your strengths, listen without judgment, challenge negative or unhelpful beliefs, and encourage you to approach your problems in a different way. We can also provide an objective perspective since we don’t know the people in your life. Plus, therapy is confidential, so you don’t have to worry about others knowing your “business.”

POLICIES

Simply Living Counseling requires at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations. If you miss an appointment, cancel, or reschedule with less than 48 hours’ notice, you will be responsible for the full session fee. In cases of emergencies, you may request a fee waiver with appropriate documentation, though approval is not guaranteed.

FEES, INVESTMENT & PAYMENT

I primarily work with private pay clients, but yes, I have a limited number of insurance spots.

Florida Clients: United Healthcare, Aetna, Optum, Oscar, UMR, and AvMed.

New York Clients: United Healthcare, Aetna, Optum, Oscar, UMR, and AvMed.

PSYPACT STATES: United Healthcare, Aetna, Optum, Oscar, UMR, and AvMed.

I use a third-party biller called Alma for some insurance-based clients.

Your records are exempt from insurance reporting when you pay privately (i.e., out-of-pocket). Thus, I am able to ensure private pay clients receive full privacy, flexibility, and control of their records. Whereas insurance often dictates the frequency and focus of sessions, at Simply Living Counseling will work collaboratively with our private pay clients. This means you will have a say in how often you attend therapy and what you want to focus on. Let’s make your life easier.

Payments are made through Simple Practice, a confidential and secure website that Simply Living Counseling uses for electronic health records and billing. Simple Practice collects your credit card information (to be kept on file) when you schedule a free consultation. You will not be charged for the consultation, but your card may be authorized for $1 (and the charge will later drop off). Payment is required by the time sessions begin and your card will automatically be charged if you no show or late cancel for an initial assessment or therapy appointment.

Simple Practice uses Stripe to process payments, and they accept all major credit and debit cards, including FSA and HSA cards.

Counseling is an investment in yourself that is totally worth it. I know it is a financial commitment and at the same time your mental health is important too. Counseling is a great place to talk about how you are feeling and to learn strategies to grow and heal. Therapy is truly awesome and is one of the best self-care you can do for yourself. If my prices are out of your reach, I would be happy to direct you to a few options on the web that might be a better fit in your budget.

Yes, I have a few reduced rate spots.

A Good Faith Estimate is an estimate of the total expected costs of non-emergency healthcare items or services. See below for more information.

Good Faith Estimate

The No Surprises Act (H.R. 133), effective January 1st, 2022, requires that health care providers provide an estimate of the bill for any medical items or services, to clients or patients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance.

A Good Faith Estimate is an estimate of the total expected costs of non-emergency healthcare items or services.

  • Intends to offer predictability & transparency in how much clients will be charged for healthcare services prior to their appointment.

  • Includes all regularly scheduled appointments (i.e. therapy sessions).

  • Does NOT include no-shows, late cancellations, or other services related to crisis care, which by definition are unexpected and cannot be predicted for the purpose of compiling a Good Faith Estimate in advance.

  • May also include consultations with client collateral contacts, fees related to paperwork requests, and other legal and administrative fees related to client care, when such items are scheduled in advance.

Your Rights under the law:

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

Under this new law, health care providers need to provide clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
